Management System Enhancement

All businesses have basic management systems. What separates the best performers is how well the management system is integrated, understood and executed. Enhancing your management system to achieve compliance with internationally adopted standards like ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 can be a daunting task. SixSigma will assist you with the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan to transform your management system enabling you to achieve whatever level of performance you desire, including Six Sigma performance.

Enterprise Risk Assessment

Our experts will help your company establish an enterprise risk assessment process. We can assist your own employees or provide the initial assessment and then facilitate implementation of a process that will embed risk management into existing processes and activities. The advantage is that the company will know and understand its risks and be able to control and monitor them to the degree necessary.

Assessments and Audits

Depending on the needs of the client our certified auditors will assess the organizations management processes for compliance to quality, environment, health and safety management standards, such as Six Sigma, ISO 9001, TS16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 or to legislative requirements.

Management Training and Coaching

Despite many advances in environment, health and safety legislation, occupational injuries and adverse environmental impacts continue to occur. Managers and supervisors have a responsibility to ensure a safe work place for their employees, comply with environmental demands and at the same time meet demanding quality specifications. Managing all of this requires knowledge and expertise. SixSigma workshops will provide your managers and supervisors with practical concepts and techniques that can be effectively applied to quality, environment, safety and operational problems. Our workshops include several customized exercises designed to enable supervisors to incorporate quality, environment and safety into their daily planning and management activities.

Risk and Control Assessment

Managers need to be able to identify their priority operational, environment, health and safety risks and be assured that their established controls are effective. SixSigma will conduct specific risk assessments of your company's facilities and operating procedures and provide you with a quantitative assessment. The advantage is the risk experience information will enable your managers to judge the cost effectiveness of any actions proposed to manage the risk.

Emergency Contingency Planning

Emergency situations are rare but can lead to disastrous results if you aren't prepared. Planning can ensure you are able to regain control of the situation and minimize damage. Our professionals will help you develop a comprehensive Emergency Contingency Plan to ensure your staff respond effectively to emergencies. Based on a risk assessment the Emergency Contingency Plan will describe the actions required to prevent an accident from becoming an emergency and to minimize the damage caused by the event.

Incident Investigations

Often it is difficult to see the forest for the trees. Our professionals will use statistical process analysis, system safety and behavioural science techniques to determine underlying root causes. Their skills, objectivity and fresh viewpoint facilitates new insights into events that degrade quality, safety, health or the environment. Recommended solutions will enable the business to systematically improve and maintain superior performance.

Contaminated Sites Assessment

Historical industrial activity often resulted in property contamination. Contaminated property has become a serious liability as owners have been held personally liable for environmental events of the past. SixSigma can provide evaluations of property for potential contamination. Properties will be assessed according to their existing or potential for adverse impact on human health and the environment. Accepted methodologies, such as the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment's National Classification System for Contaminated Sites, are employed to determine the risk and the most appropriate cost effective solution.
